About the Role
The manager will be accountable for the leadership, development and performance of the Manufacturing Delivery Team, defining and delivering product roadmaps that align with the Digital/IT strategy while ensuring business requirements and benefits are clearly understood. Key responsibilities include developing and prioritising the delivery plan and backlog in collaboration with process owners, stakeholders, SMEs, architects and ecosystem partners, ensuring maximum value is delivered and communicating benefits while preserving product integrity. The role also requires building strong relationships between operational facilities and Digital & IT, facilitating collaboration, translating requirements, and acting as the integrator to align delivery of manufacturing products and future improvements. The manager will provide governance for deliverables, oversee project oversight and delivery, make priority decisions when conflicts arise, and manage third‑party Managed Service Providers and Systems Integrators, while developing the team’s capability to support decision‑making, solution architecture and partner oversight. • Lead the Manufacturing Delivery Team and define product roadmaps aligned with Digital/IT strategy. • Develop and prioritise delivery plans and backlogs with process owners, stakeholders, SMEs, architects and ecosystem partners. • Ensure maximum product value, communicate benefits and maintain product integrity. • Build and maintain strong engagement between operational facilities and Digital & IT. • Facilitate collaboration, translate requirements and integrate efforts for efficient product delivery. • Govern deliverables, provide project oversight and resolve priority conflicts. • Manage third‑party Managed Service Providers and Systems Integrators, overseeing scope, cost and quality. • Develop team capability to support decision‑making, solution architecture and partner oversight. • Apply Agile delivery practices, including backlog refinement and sprint planning. • Foster collaborative relationships, translate business needs into clear requirements, and drive cultural change. • Promote a safety‑first workplace, continuous learning, integrity and inclusive culture for career growth.

Rolls‑Royce is seeking a Product Delivery Manager for the Manufacturing Execution System in Derby, reporting to the Manufacturing Solutions VP within the Enterprise Solutions Team. This hybrid role (minimum three days on‑site) offers a leadership and delivery opportunity within the Manufacturing IT team. Preferred candidates have extensive experience with manufacturing solutions and vendors in assembly or dis‑assembly environments, a proven track record of complex delivery in dynamic settings, and strong expertise in project and portfolio management, finance, budgeting and Agile practices. Leadership experience, the ability to forge collaborative relationships, translate business needs into requirements, and drive cultural change are essential, as is the capability to conduct hard conversations on priorities to maintain product integrity.
