About the Role
Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear‑end lift attachments, transporting waste or recyclables to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities once legal load capacity is reached. Commercial drivers handle container pick‑up, residential drivers collect household waste, and roll‑off drivers load and move large open‑top containers, all requiring skilled backing maneuvers in congested or tight environments. Key duties include operating vehicles in compliance with WM Safety, OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal laws; performing pre‑ and post‑trip inspections with DVIR documentation; reporting unsafe conditions, incidents, and service interruptions; attending required training and briefings; collaborating with the Operations Manager to improve route efficiency; communicating customer requests; ensuring clean dump sites; completing end‑of‑day paperwork; and assisting fellow drivers as needed. • Operate heavy‑duty trucks with lift attachments to transport waste to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. • Follow WM Safety, OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal regulations while driving. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, and service interruptions to management or dispatch. • Participate in required training, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with Operations Manager to improve route efficiency and best practices. • Communicate customer requests and ensure clean, debris‑free dump sites. • Complete end‑of‑day documentation and assist fellow drivers as needed.

What You Bring
Applicants must have a valid CDL Class A or B with an air‑brake endorsement (or one year of equivalent military driving experience), be at least 18 years old, and be legally eligible to work in the United States. A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
