About the Role

The Associate Account Manager role is focused on proactively maintaining and retaining relationships with existing commercial and industrial waste customers within an assigned territory. The incumbent makes outbound and inbound calls to retain business from smaller, less complex customers and works to increase penetration by selling the full suite of Republic Services products. Core duties include daily outreach to existing clients, developing deep knowledge of services, pricing, and lines of business, performing contract re‑signs, handling cancellation requests per escalation policy, and supporting pricing initiatives. The role requires daily use of Salesforce to document all activities, capturing customer emails, minimizing rate restrictions and credits, and regularly meeting with the Sales Manager to review retention goals and key accounts. • Maintain and retain existing commercial/industrial waste customers through daily outreach. • Conduct contractual re‑signs to extend relationships and increase profitability. • Respond to cancellation requests following the escalation policy. • Communicate pricing initiatives and offer additional services. • Use Salesforce daily to log calls, meetings, and proposals. • Capture customer emails, minimize rate restrictions and credits. • Increase customer penetration by selling the full suite of Republic Services products. • Meet weekly with Sales Manager to review retention metrics and key accounts. • Access health care and dependent care spending accounts.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications are a high school diploma or GED and 0‑2 years of customer service experience; preferred qualifications include bilingual English/Spanish ability, residence in Texas, proactive retention sales experience, and prior experience in waste or transportation industries. The position operates in a high‑call‑volume environment and emphasizes strong communication and sales skills. • Provide high‑volume customer service; 0‑2 years experience required, bilingual preferred. • Hold a high school diploma or GED; waste or transportation industry experience is advantageous.
