About the Role

The Preconstruction Manager will serve as the primary liaison among estimating, operations, design teams, and clients, ensuring accurate pricing, risk mitigation, and a smooth transition from preconstruction to execution. This role supports business development, design‑assist/build efforts, and coordination with BIM/VDC teams. • Lead preparation of conceptual to design‑development estimates for commercial mechanical and plumbing scopes • Oversee take‑offs, labor analysis, equipment pricing, subcontractor buyouts, and vendor coordination • Develop and manage preconstruction schedules, deliverables, and deadlines • Review drawings, specifications, and contracts for scope gaps, conflicts, and risk exposure • Participate in design‑assist and design‑build collaborations with owners, architects, engineers, and general contractors • Coordinate with BIM/VDC teams to validate quantities, routing, and installation strategies • Act as primary preconstruction contact for clients and general contractors • Support business development through pursuit strategy, proposal input, and interview participation • Ensure clean handoff to project management and assist in kickoff meetings and early planning

What You Bring

Ideal candidates have at least five years of HVAC and plumbing estimating experience, are proficient with industry estimating software, and understand construction contracts and risk management.
