About the Role
The Lead Sr. Account Executive for the Alabama territory will drive consultative sales of energy infrastructure solutions to municipal, university, school, and hospital (MUSH) executives, leveraging expertise in Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC) and other government contract vehicles. Responsibilities include managing the sales funnel, leading RFP responses, developing strategies, mentoring junior staff, and acting as a customer advocate throughout the sales and implementation process. • Sell and market energy infrastructure solutions to MUSH sector executives via long‑term ESPC contracts. • Educate customers to uncover new business opportunities and cultivate prospects. • Influence buying decisions to help organizations meet energy and decarbonization goals. • Represent NORESCO at conferences, trade associations, and industry events. • Manage the sales funnel to meet strategic business objectives. • Apply sound judgment to balance risk and reward when qualifying opportunities. • Communicate recommendations to NORESCO leadership and executive team. • Lead competitive RFP/RFQ responses, aligning capture themes across contributors. • Gather and manage detailed site information for installations and facilities. • Build partnerships with reputable sub‑contractors for non‑federal projects. • Coordinate internal strategy sessions to develop new government opportunities. • Design and execute winning solicitation strategies. • Mentor junior Account Executives as needed. • Advocate for customers throughout sales, development, and implementation phases. • Collaborate internally on strategies and deliverables, then present to government executives. • Close business in line with annual sales targets. • Participate in internal process‑improvement initiatives. • Provide post‑sale account management to sustain relationships and generate new business.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a High School Diploma, 7+ years of experience selling to MUSH sectors, and 5+ years selling to C‑level targets. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, 10+ years in ESPC or design‑build markets, and experience presenting to public bodies.
