About the Role

• Load and unload equipment • Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and staging • Lift, unload, move, set, and shovel mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and buckets • General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and loading or burning of debris • Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete • Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels • Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 50 lbs will be done with assistance of another team member or equipment

What You Bring

Mortenson is currently seeking a Laborer Apprentice who will learn the trade while assisting with preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to other crafts. Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position. Our postings are typically open a minimum of 5 days and an average of 44 days. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for an employment visa (e.g., H‑1B, O‑1, TN, CPT, OPT). The company cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of a visa at this time. • Tend motor and grout • Vibrate concrete • Enrolled in Apprentice Aptitude Program • Experience in construction preferred • Ability to work with tools and equipment, such as power and non‑powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills and jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies • Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude; professional customer service skills; detail‑oriented; active listening and effective communication, including openness to diverse input and feedback • Repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements • Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs
