About the Role
The position involves overseeing inspections, testing, documentation, coordination with other disciplines, and promotion of safety across all civil work activities. • Monitor civil and infrastructure works daily to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, method statements, and safety requirements. • Conduct routine and hold‑point inspections for activities such as excavation, backfilling, compaction, pavement, concrete, structural works, and utility installations. • Review and witness field and laboratory tests (soil compaction, concrete, asphalt, material compliance) and verify results meet specifications. • Verify that approved ITPs, method statements, and checklists are followed by the Contractor. • Prepare and maintain inspection requests, site inspection reports, daily records, and non‑conformance reports (NCRs). • Maintain systematic records of work progress, inspections, tests, and site communications for audit purposes. • Assist the Resident Engineer/Assistant Resident Engineer in preparing progress reports and providing technical inputs. • Coordinate with other discipline inspectors to manage interface issues and ensure integrated oversight. • Monitor contractor quality control procedures, report deficiencies, and support implementation of project quality plans. • Promote safe working practices, report unsafe conditions, and collaborate with HSE staff as needed. • Support RE/ARE during client, authority, or stakeholder site visits by supplying factual information and records. • Ensure road and utility works comply with local authority standards and requirements.

What You Bring
Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Civil Inspector to ensure that all civil and infrastructure activities on site adhere to project standards and safety requirements. The successful candidate will have a strong educational background in civil engineering and extensive experience supervising infrastructure projects. • Diploma in Civil Engineering. • Minimum 7 years’ experience supervising infrastructure construction, including roads, bridges, highways, and utilities. • Prior consultancy experience with strong knowledge of site construction practices and supervision procedures. • Ability to read and interpret civil/infrastructure drawings, specifications, and contract documents. • Proficiency in preparing site inspection reports, daily reports, and maintaining systematic records. • Familiarity with local authority standards for roads and utilities (advantageous).
