About the Role
The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician supports the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building, and by installing, maintaining and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. The role also offers the chance to mentor junior technicians as they develop their skills. Daily duties include promoting a safe work environment, completing preventive maintenance routines with proper documentation, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems on material handling equipment such as belts, motors, photo‑eyes and relays. The technician must maintain positive relationships across the facility, track inventory, and be able to lift up to 49 lb while standing or walking for shifts up to 12 hours, with occasional travel of up to 20 %. What You Bring
Required qualifications are a high school diploma or equivalent, flexible availability for shifts including weekends, nights and holidays, and at least two years of experience repairing material handling equipment and performing predictive and preventive maintenance. Preferred qualifications include an associate’s degree or higher in mechanical or electrical fields, experience with automated conveyor systems, blueprint and electrical schematic reading, and familiarity with safety standards, CMMS, and robotic or electromechanical maintenance. The position demands repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and walking, as well as lifting parts and tools averaging 20 lb and occasionally up to 49 lb. Workers must be comfortable in small, dusty, noisy, hot or cold environments, standing on concrete for long periods, and handling bulky equipment in cramped spaces. • Lift up to 49 lb, stand or walk 10+ hour shifts, and travel up to 20 % as needed. • Hold a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 2+ years of MHE repair experience. • Possess an associate’s degree or higher in mechanical/electrical fields (preferred). • Read blueprints and electrical schematics; experience with conveyor systems and robotics (preferred).
