About the Role
The role involves leading water and wastewater projects—including treatment facilities, pipelines, and pump stations—through all phases from planning and design to permitting, construction, and commissioning. The manager will ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget while providing technical guidance on treatment processes, pipeline design, and pump‑station operations, and will coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to define objectives and deliverables. • Lead water and wastewater treatment, pipeline, and pump‑station projects in San Diego. • Manage all project phases from planning and design through permitting, construction, and commissioning. • Ensure schedules and budgets are met while maintaining quality and safety standards. • Provide technical expertise on treatment processes, pipeline design, and pump‑station operations. • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to define scope and deliverables. • Develop project management plans covering resource allocation, risk mitigation, and quality control. • Prepare and review proposals, cost estimates, technical specifications, and schedules. • Monitor progress, track milestones, and facilitate communication among team members and subcontractors.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering (or a related field) and possess at least eight years of industry experience, preferably with a focus on treatment, pipeline, or pump‑station projects. Required skills include proven project‑management expertise, strong technical knowledge of water and wastewater systems, proficiency with project‑management software, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. A California Professional Engineer license is preferred. • Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental engineering or related discipline. • Minimum eight years of water/wastewater industry experience, focused on treatment, pipelines, or pump stations. • Demonstrated project‑management success with budgeting and resource allocation. • Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes and related regulations. • Proficiency with project‑management software tools. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • California PE license preferred.
