About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Senior Survey Technician interprets project requirements, oversees the processing of field survey data, ensures quality standards are met, and prepares final deliverables for clients. The role also involves coordinating and guiding junior survey technicians. • Review project scope and field data for completeness, and communicate status to the Project Manager. • Prepare field packages (point files, DXF, KMZ) to support survey crews. • Conduct quality control checks on survey data in line with Gulf standards. • Draft deed, easement, and parcel sketches; create ALTA surveys, easement plats, and topographic surveys. • Ensure compliance with Gulf procedures and the Health, Safety, and Environment policy, aiming for zero accidents. • Mentor and supervise lower‑level survey technicians, assisting with task delegation.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least five years of experience in a survey office, be proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center, and possess a solid understanding of land and civil survey terminology. A high school diploma or GED is required, with college or technical training in geomatics or related fields preferred. The position requires reliable transportation, the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, and physical capacity for standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 25 lb. Travel to job sites may be necessary. • Require 5+ years of survey‑office experience, proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and experience with Trimble Business Center. • Possess knowledge of map projections, datums, coordinate systems, bearings, and azimuths. • Minimum education: high school diploma or GED; college/technical training in geomatics, land surveying, or AutoCAD drafting preferred. • Ability to operate a vehicle, work outdoors in any weather, lift up to 25 lb, and travel for site visits.
