About the Role

The role is responsible for monitoring installations to ensure work is performed according to company standards and contract requirements. It involves using the company’s crews efficiently, collaborating with the foreman to manage project portions and employees, and overseeing productivity, safety, quality control, scheduling, and material procurement. This position is considered safety‑sensitive. Key duties include thoroughly understanding the assigned project segment, communicating effectively with the foreman and crew, and maintaining courteous interactions with customers. The incumbent must ensure all work complies with NEC, federal, state, county, and local codes, verify that required materials are on site and received, and manage crew productivity and time. They are also expected to set high performance and quality standards, establish and monitor project goals, fully utilize the prefab shop, anticipate problems, lead and motivate the crew, enforce start times and legally required breaks, and keep accurate daily or weekly as‑builts while following the employee handbook and safety policies. • Ensure compliance with NEC, federal, state, county, and local codes • Verify that all required materials are on site and have been received • Manage crew productivity and time efficiently • Establish high performance and quality standards • Set and monitor project goals continuously • Utilize the Prefab shop to its fullest extent • Anticipate potential problems and address them proactively • Enforce start times and legally required break schedules • Maintain accurate daily or weekly as‑builts • Follow Bergelectric’s Employee Handbook and safety policies • Read and interpret electrical drawings and technical instructions • Use industry tools and equipment safely and productively • Perform basic mechanical tasks and visualize electrical layouts • Lift and pull up to 50 lb, climb ladders, and pull wire and conduit • Operate from ladders, man lifts, or reach booms in diverse weather and high‑noise conditions

What You Bring

Qualifications consist of completing an electrical construction apprenticeship, holding a valid state electrician license or having at least four years of journeyman experience, and possessing solid knowledge of electrical codes and installation methods. Strong communication skills, the ability to read technical instructions and electrical drawings, basic mathematics proficiency, and competence with industry tools and equipment are required. Additional abilities include problem‑solving, prioritizing tasks, basic mechanical skills, and visualizing electrical layouts. The position demands physical effort such as lifting and pulling up to 50 lb, climbing ladders, pulling wire and conduit, and working while squatting, stooping, or kneeling with a 25 lb tool belt. Employees must stand for long periods performing repetitive actions and operate from ladders, man lifts, or reach booms.
