About the Role
The Site Surveyor role is responsible for meticulously assessing customer site compatibility for battery installations. This includes reviewing customer‑provided photos and documentation, collaborating with customers to finalize installation configurations, ensuring compliance with electrical codes, creating specialized drawings for non‑standard installations, and occasionally conducting on‑site surveys. The Site Survey team serves as the technical bridge between a customer’s interest and a fully operational battery installation, translating fragmented field data and photos into precise, code‑compliant blueprints. By standardizing assessments of diverse home environments, the team removes technical friction, accelerates clean‑energy adoption, and supports Base’s mission to build a more resilient, software‑defined power grid. • Review customer photos and documentation to assess installation feasibility. • Clarify site details with customers and finalize installation configurations. • Apply relevant electrical codes to ensure safe, compliant installations. • Create detailed specialty drawings for off‑nominal or complex scenarios. • Document and communicate installation requirements and potential issues. • Maintain accurate records of site survey reviews and customer interactions. • Conduct occasional in‑person site surveys to resolve complex issues or verify conditions. • Provide technical support and guidance to installation teams based on survey findings. • Identify and suggest improvements to the site survey review process for efficiency.

What You Bring
• 2+ years experience in site survey review, electrical installation, or related technical field. • Strong understanding of electrical codes and installation best practices. • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and creating detailed diagrams. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction. • Ability to analyze and interpret visual data from photographs and site documentation. • Experience with solar, battery, or EV charger installations. • Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities. • Proficient with computer software and documentation tools.
