About the Role

The Planner/Scheduler develops critical path method (CPM) schedules for construction projects. The role requires understanding safety hazards, safely using tools and equipment, and working on plant operations or construction job sites. The Planner/Scheduler works closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to establish a master schedule and to sequence submittals, engineering reviews, O&M manuals, fabrication, assembly, and installation. They conduct monthly status meetings, perform routine site walks to gather schedule inputs, produce monthly updated schedules for submission, prepare schedule reviews and bid schedules, distribute schedule copies, and assist other craft workers as needed. • Collaborate with Project Manager and Superintendent to create a master construction schedule. • Plan the sequence for submittals, engineering reviews, O&M manuals, fabrication, assembly, and installation. • Conduct monthly status meetings with the superintendent and project manager. • Perform routine site walks to gather input for schedule updates. • Generate and submit monthly updated schedules to stakeholders. • Prepare schedule reviews and bid schedules for proposals. • Ensure schedule copies are distributed to relevant parties. • Provide assistance to other craft workers as needed. • Lift up to 25 lb regularly (occasionally up to 50 lb) and handle materials frequently. • Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood frameworks, ladders, scaffolds, and uneven terrain. • Work in adverse weather conditions and navigate muddy, sandy, or rocky surfaces. • Drive cars/trucks when required. • Perform mathematical calculations and maintain detail‑oriented focus. • Make decisions and concentrate amid distractions.
