About the Role

The Customer Service Associate works in AvalonBay’s inbound call center in Virginia Beach, VA, on a hybrid schedule—four weekdays (8:30 am – 5:45 pm EST) and Saturdays (12:00 pm – 5:00 pm EST). The role involves day‑to‑day customer account administration, including account research, payment processing, charge adjustments, and basic website assistance, while delivering a positive resident experience. • Handle inbound calls professionally to provide a positive resident experience • Resolve customer inquiries related to payments and account issues • Conduct account research and process charge credits or debits • Assist customers with navigating company websites • Participate in coaching, training, and development sessions while visible on camera when remote • Maintain schedule adherence and meet productivity standards • Ensure internet connection of at least 25 Mbps upload/download and use a hard‑wired (non‑Wi‑Fi) setup

What You Bring

• Hold a high school diploma or GED • Possess 1–3 years of customer service experience delivering above‑average service • Demonstrate strong verbal and written English communication skills • Apply basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) • Exhibit strong organizational and multitasking abilities • Experience with data entry and Microsoft Excel • Ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously • Previous hybrid work experience (preferred) • Call center experience (preferred)
