About the Role

The Spatial Data Intern is a dedicated resource for the spatial data group, responsible for quality assurance, file management, and maintaining client data. The role supports new tool development to advance current client offerings. The contract runs from February to April 2026 and follows a hybrid work arrangement with on‑site presence at BGIS’s Markham Head Office. • Identify and annotate building attributes and assets within 3D virtual tours. • Embed industry standards into asset collection methods. • Review and act on computer vision model outputs and virtual location surveys. • Prepare virtual location surveys (VLS) for third‑party completion. • Assemble VLS reports and ensure their quality and consistency. • Upload new VLS reports and maintain up‑to‑date client files. • Collaborate with Spatial Data specialists and Capital Planning team to meet delivery timelines. • Coordinate and monitor workflow to ensure timely completion with strong organization.

What You Bring

• Pursue a degree/diploma in Business Administration, Data Management, or related field. • Possess experience in administration, project coordination, or data management (preferred). • Proficient in MS Office Excel and quick to learn new software. • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and ability to detect data anomalies. • Communicate verbally to convey data issues, coordinate activities, and provide end‑user training.

Benefits

This full‑time contract position offers an hourly wage of $19‑$23, with the starting rate based on the candidate’s competencies, experience, education, and performance.
