About the Role

In this role you will provide technical expertise, mentoring, training, and advice to government and contractor engineers across systems engineering, laboratory and field testing, concept and technology evaluation, and trade studies for both low‑ and high‑frequency radar systems. You will influence the next generation of radar, signal‑processing, and electronic protection technologies for missions such as ISR, SAR, MTI, air surveillance, and counter‑fire target acquisition. • Provide technical expertise, mentoring, and training to government and contractor engineers on radar systems and field testing. • Conduct systems engineering, concept and technology evaluations, and trade studies for low‑ and high‑frequency radars. • Lead radar test and evaluation, develop test plans, execute laboratory and field tests, and produce technical reports and briefings. • Influence next‑generation radar, signal‑processing, and electronic protection technologies for ISR, SAR, MTI, air surveillance, and CTA missions. • Develop schedules, specifications, drawings, and deliver performance metrics to senior management. • Conduct technical training and mentor personnel on radar concepts and related topics.

Parsons is seeking an exceptional Senior Radar Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join ongoing Science and Technology efforts at the Army’s premier R&D Center at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. This mid‑tier government contractor delivers cutting‑edge capabilities critical to national security and prides itself on exceeding expectations in work delivery. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s (PhD preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or a related field and have 15+ years of experience in radar system design, development, testing, evaluation, and data analysis. Required skills include developing test plans and schedules, conducting tests, generating reports, providing technical training, and preparing briefings and performance specifications. An active Secret clearance with eligibility for DoD TS/SCI and U.S. citizenship is required. Desired qualifications include experience as a university adjunct faculty member or professor, reviewing engineering design documentation and interface control documents, and providing senior technical oversight to radar development programs. Familiarity with modern algorithm development, modeling and simulation environments, and electronic protection techniques is also valued. • Hold a BS/MS (PhD preferred) in EE, Computer Engineering, CS, Physics or related field with 15+ years of radar design, development, and analysis experience. • Possess an active Secret clearance with eligibility for DoD TS/SCI and U.S. citizenship. • Desired: experience as university adjunct faculty or professor, reviewing design documentation, and providing senior technical oversight of radar programs. • Desired: proficiency with modern algorithm development, modeling and simulation environments.
