About the Role

The manager synthesizes data from Walmart’s internal sources, syndicated panels, shopper insights, and other analytics to develop recommendations and action plans that increase category sales and market share. Close collaboration with Walmart merchants ensures data‑driven decisions that accelerate growth. • Synthesize and analyze category, shopper, and channel data to inform Walmart merchants. • Communicate business drivers and recommend strategies to accelerate category growth. • Monitor competitive landscape and provide relevant intel to the merchant. • Evaluate demographic profiles and consumer purchasing behavior for insights. • Translate complex metrics into actionable strategic recommendations. • Lead weekly buyer meetings and address data or presentation requests. • Create category modulars with supporting documentation. • Develop strategic business plans, vision, tactics, and growth strategies. • Stay updated on consumer trends across retail channels. • Produce strategic presentations as a credible Category Management Advisor. • Utilize Microsoft Office, JDA, Power BI, Nielsen Discover, Walmart Loyalty data, and Numerator.

What You Bring

Key qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience in category management or a highly analytical role, with a proven record of driving category or brand plans.
