About the Role
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and documentation to determine scope and quantities. • Perform quantity take‑offs, material pricing, labor cost estimation, and subcontractor quote analysis. • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams on requirements and scheduling constraints. • Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, bid proposals, and cost reports for clients and stakeholders. • Update and maintain a cost‑tracking system to monitor expenditures and identify budget deviations. • Participate in value engineering, risk assessments, and cost‑saving initiatives. • Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations to keep estimates competitive. • Communicate effectively and collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders.

What You Bring
Within our consulting business, we combine leading‑edge practical expertise with project delivery consultancy to unlock the potential of every project. Mace is seeking estimating professionals at all levels to expand our life‑sciences, technology and manufacturing teams on capital projects in Indianapolis. Several opportunities will arise over the next few months, and we also welcome candidates from outside Indianapolis who have the right to work in the US without sponsorship and are open to a fly‑in‑fly‑out remote and on‑site model. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field. • Demonstrate proven experience as an estimator, cost estimator, or quantity surveyor on construction projects. • Proficiency with cost estimating software, construction cost databases, and advanced Excel. • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and labor costs. • Exhibit excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and capacity to meet tight deadlines. • Experience on capital projects within life sciences or manufacturing.
