About the Role
The Waste Management (WM) team is looking for drivers to safely operate heavy‑duty trucks on transfer routes, ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently and safely each day. • Operate a heavy‑duty truck in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report and report any issues. • Immediately report unsafe conditions, service calls, incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Participate in scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required. • Collaborate with Operations Managers to improve route efficiency and address problem or unsafe accounts. • Assist other drivers and perform assigned duties as directed by Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Communicate customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Operations Manager promptly. • Dump containers at customer sites, ensuring the area is left clean and debris‑free. • Position containers upright, replace lids, and avoid blocking driveways or traffic. • Complete and submit customer tickets for excess yardage removal. • Follow daily route assignments and finalize all required documentation at the end of the route.
