About the Role

You will support the planning, design, permitting, and construction phases of civil and remedial engineering projects, producing construction drawings, technical specifications, calculations, and permit applications while assisting with project controls such as scheduling, cost estimating, and progress tracking. • Participate in global engineering projects delivering creative solutions. • Prepare site civil designs, including earthwork, grading, access roads, erosion/sediment control, and stormwater management. • Develop construction drawings, specifications, calculations, and contract documents. • Assemble permit application packages for land disturbance and construction stormwater permits. • Utilize AutoCAD and GIS to create engineering designs. • Conduct field investigations, oversee construction activities, and perform quality assurance. • Analyze field data, perform calculations, and produce engineering reports, cost estimates, schedules, and progress updates. • Collaborate with scientists and engineers across investigation, risk management, planning, design, and construction disciplines. • Work independently and within global, multidisciplinary teams. • Contribute to a center‑of‑excellence engineering team to innovate designs and oversee implementation.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate is curious, motivated, and eager to learn, comfortable balancing independent work with teamwork, and open to travel and field experience. Strong communication skills, proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS, and a willingness to engage in diverse project settings are essential. • Hold a B.S. or M.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent experience). • Possess Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification or eligibility. • Have 1–2 years of relevant experience. • Demonstrate proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS. • Exhibit strong verbal, written, and computer communication skills. • Be willing and able to travel; local candidates in Washington, DC preferred. • Not eligible for immigration sponsorship. • Familiarity with Microsoft Project, scheduling, and construction management (preferred). • Exposure to consulting or construction‑related project environments (preferred).
