About the Role

The DC Team Member II position is located in McPherson, KS and is tasked with determining the daily work schedule based on work board instructions and guidance from the Lead Team Member and Supervisor. The role involves filling and completing customer orders, combining orders that share the same ship identification number, and performing 6S activities. Additionally, the incumbent assists and answers questions for the DC Team Member I as needed. Daily tasks include picking inventory, scanning items, and placing them in containers that are then transported to packing lanes. The employee verifies quantities, labels containers, loads final shipping units, and moves them to the designated shipping area while ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Manual loading of coils and bundles onto trucks is performed according to computer‑generated work orders or verbal instructions. All employees must adhere to safety rules, report unsafe conditions through the SOSPES program, and follow guidelines for preventing slips, trips, and falls, such as keeping aisles clear and using handrails. Good housekeeping practices—maintaining a clean, uncluttered workspace and proper waste disposal—are required. Safe lifting techniques must be used, and assistance should be sought for heavy objects. The role includes monitoring logistics quality by maintaining facility and equipment checklists, executing 6S functions, and inspecting forklifts before use. The employee works toward proactive damage control, ensures pallet quality and inventory accuracy, and records technical errors from manufacturing and vendors. Participation in ISO9001 quality initiatives and continuous process improvement is expected. Additional duties involve answering questions for DC Team Member I, performing other assigned tasks, and traveling up to 10 % of the time when needed. What You Bring

Success in this role requires the ability to execute necessary transactions in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) using a desktop computer or RF gun, as well as troubleshoot related issues. The employee must be licensed and proficient with various material handling equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, and ride‑on pallet jacks. Regular equipment inspections and proper documentation are required before operation, and any defects must be reported immediately. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, 6–17 months of related experience, and preferably experience with Warehouse Management Systems and lean practices. Required skills include basic math, strong organizational ability, attention to detail, and proficiency in operating material handling equipment. The position demands the ability to lift 50 lb or more, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and consistently meet safety and quality standards. • Travel up to 10 % of the time for job-related activities. • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent and 6–17 months relevant experience. • Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems and licensed to operate material handling equipment. • Able to lift 50 lb or more and perform physically demanding tasks. • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and basic math ability. • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
