About the Role

• Design and develop high‑performance web applications used by hundreds of thousands of users globally • Apply object‑oriented design principles and software design patterns for reusability and maintainability • Promote consistent architecture patterns across Homes development teams • Collaborate closely with other software engineers across the organization • Advocate standards‑driven technology • Facilitate discussions among .NET and database developers to share ideas and improvements • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities and best practices

What You Bring

The company seeks a senior software engineer who is passionate about object‑oriented backend development to help create the next generation of residential products, applications, and services. The role is based in Arlington, VA, with an office schedule Monday‑Thursday and remote work on Friday. CoStar Group is an equal‑opportunity employer committed to maintaining a drug‑free workplace. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution • Demonstrated commitment to prior employers • 5+ years of production development experience with C#, .NET (or .NET Core) and/or Java • Experience delivering products that meet specifications and performance SLAs • Proficient in unit, performance, and automation testing • Deep understanding of the business drivers behind the software being built • Experience in relational database design (AWS RDS, MS SQL) and performance tuning • Experience with AWS services such as S3, Step Functions, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, Apache Kafka, and Datadog • Demonstrable track record of building and launching successful products and platforms
