Mechanical Project Executive

About the Role

• Oversee daily operations of assigned projects and ensure schedule adherence. • Conduct kickoff meetings, specification reviews, and scope/detail sessions with field and shop teams. • Coordinate with drafting, project engineers, fabrication shop, subcontractors, and vendors to keep projects on track. • Draft and manage change proposals, updating the CP log weekly. • Handle the submittal process and control log for each project. • Prepare monthly billings and pay applications for Houston and manage timely collections with the VP. • Monitor job‑site progress, shop production, and safety with field superintendent and Safety Director. • Lead regular project meetings, site walks, BIM sessions, and bi‑monthly cost and review meetings. • Liaise with purchasing to verify vendor purchase orders and ensure on‑time material/equipment delivery. • Update control logs weekly and communicate red‑flag issues to the Production and BIM managers. • Review and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices, and manage RFIs and their logs. • Oversee QA/QC, complete OCIP/CCIP/ROCIP documentation, and compile close‑out documents such as as‑builts, O&M manuals, and warranty letters. • Mentor and train project engineers and assistant project managers.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of project‑management experience, a strong background in commercial HVAC (with plumbing preferred), and a solid construction background.
