About the Role
Within HDR’s Building Engineering Services Group, engineers design critical infrastructure that powers the digital age, from high‑performance data centers to dynamic commercial spaces. By integrating mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil expertise, the team tackles complex design challenges to advance technology, sustainability, and human experience. • Coordinate multidisciplinary electrical engineering work throughout project development. • Establish client relationships and engage in marketing, design, and production meetings for electrical systems. • Serve as the electrical lead on multiple projects. • Participate in code‑compliance reviews with governing agencies. • Conduct schematic, design development, and contract document sessions on‑site with project teams. • Manage workload to ensure timely completion of project documents. • Track project financials and adjust team effort to meet schedule and budget constraints. • Collaborate with Project Manager and Regional Controller on corporate project reviews. • Mentor and direct other electrical engineering staff as needed.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with electrical emphasis (Master’s preferred). • Minimum 10 years of building electrical design experience (lighting, power, systems). • Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent license in the state of employment. • Extensive knowledge of power, lighting, signal design, life‑safety and building management systems. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and electrical design software.
