About the Role

The Senior Project Manager – GIS is accountable for the end‑to‑end delivery of digital‑grid projects, beginning with hand‑off from the sales team and concluding with closure and transition to support. The role involves assembling project teams with digital‑grid leads, monitoring progress, and ensuring quality execution according to the contract Scope of Work. Key responsibilities include planning, initiating, and managing IT, GIS, and ADMS projects for electric utilities; overseeing scope, budget, schedule, and resources throughout the project lifecycle; leading technical staff and acting as the liaison between business and technical aspects; and managing stakeholder expectations, risks, and conflicts. The manager also maintains a high‑level understanding of utility industry processes and technologies such as DMS, SCADA, OMS, EMS, Arc FM, Esri GIS, MDM, and CIS, and follows Schneider Electric’s Customer Project Process from initiation to closure. • Lead and deliver multi‑phase digital‑grid projects ($5‑10M) from sales hand‑over through closure. • Plan, initiate, and manage IT, GIS, and ADMS projects for electric utilities, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, and resources. • Coordinate project teams, manage stakeholder relationships, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with Schneider Electric’s Customer Project Process. • Develop and monitor cost and invoicing plans, track financial performance, and work with contract management to protect project margins. • Act as liaison between business and technical sides, guiding technical staff and maintaining strong client relationships. • Maintain expertise in utility industry processes and technologies such as DMS, SCADA, OMS, EMS, ArcFM, Esri GIS, MDM, and CIS. • Utilize project‑management tools (Microsoft Project, ERP/Adobe Workfront) and agile methodologies to govern delivery.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least seven years of complex project‑management experience, with five or more years leading GIS or ADMS software implementations. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; PMP certification is a plus. Required skills include strong communication, negotiation, influencing, and multicultural teamwork, fluency in English, proficiency with project‑management tools (Microsoft Project, ERP/Adobe Workfront), and familiarity with agile methods. Travel up to 25% across North America is expected, and applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. • Bring 7+ years of complex project‑management experience, including 5+ years of GIS or ADMS implementation leadership. • Hold a bachelor's degree; PMP certification is an asset; demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills. • Travel up to 25% across North America; be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Benefits

The position is a full‑time, U.S.‑based role with a compensation range of $112,000 to $168,000 per year, including base pay and short‑term incentive. Salary is set based on market comparables and individual factors such as performance, skills, experience, and education.
