About the Role

The Benefits Administrator will lead the administration of companywide benefit programs, including health and defined contribution plans. This role can be based daily at one of MasTec’s offices in Fargo, ND; Indianapolis, IN; Clinton, IN; or Phoenix, AZ. • Track and enter weekly changes to CE&I benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, 401k, ESPP, life, disability, etc.) for active and terminated employees. • Communicate employee deductions and status with Payroll and staff. • Process missed deductions and deduction catch‑ups. • Notify Payroll of PTO payouts for terminations. • Inform new employees monthly about their benefits eligibility date. • Support auditing of benefit programs, including 401k enrollments, FSAs, COBRA credits, and ACA reporting. • Conduct monthly audits of benefit billings. • Manage Leave of Absence (LOA) and FMLA programs with third‑party vendor assistance. • Assist with annual open enrollment and monthly eligibility enrollments. • Work with third‑party benefits administrator BMS to resolve employee benefit issues. • Deliver benefits orientation for new hires and promote education on benefit programs. • Maintain the strategic benefits communication calendar. • Respond to employee inquiries regarding CE&I benefits. • May support administration of the CE&I recognition program. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.

What You Bring

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred. • 1‑2 years of HR administration experience with knowledge of employee benefit programs. • Payroll processing experience preferred. • HRIS experience preferred. • Commitment to personal and team safety, adhering to Zero Injury principles. • Knowledge of employment laws and practices. • Ability to handle inquiries or complaints from employees or regulators. • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy. • Proficiency with basic arithmetic and measurements. • Sound problem‑solving and business judgment. • Ability to interpret written and oral instructions. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
