About the Role

The Construction Manager leads home construction in assigned communities, ensuring quality, cost control, and schedule adherence from pre‑construction meetings through final walkthroughs. Day‑to‑day duties include supervising trade partners, conducting twice‑daily site walks, negotiating solutions with inspectors, managing communications and invoice approvals via Build Pro, and maintaining safety and compliance standards. • Oversee all construction phases from inception to move‑in, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and schedule compliance. • Conduct twice‑daily home walks to track progress, uphold standards, and optimize profitability. • Supervise trade partners, lead pre‑construction, pre‑drywall, and final presentation meetings. • Negotiate inspection and trade‑partner issues to achieve cost‑effective resolutions. • Manage daily communications and invoice approvals through Build Pro, ensuring timely payments. • Maintain site safety, cleanliness, and compliance with state and federal building codes. • Perform Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan inspections as required. • Approve change orders, purchase orders, and maintain accurate safety logs and documentation. • Collaborate with sales, customer care, and management to resolve problems and ensure effective communication.

What You Bring

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED (college preferred) with 3‑5 years of residential construction management experience, be proficient with construction software such as Procore, hold a valid driver’s license and insurance, and possess knowledge of building codes and blueprint reading. The role requires regular on‑site presence, the ability to work extended hours in a trailer, and the physical capability to lift over 50 lb, operate equipment, and perform stair climbing and ladder work. • Meet education and experience requirements: high school diploma/GED, 3‑5 years residential construction management, preferred college degree. • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office, Build Pro, Procore, and other construction‑management software. • Hold a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and auto‑insurance coverage. • Ability to work extended hours, lift >50 lb, and operate construction equipment in trailer environments.
