• Jamf Composer – create and customize macOS .pkg packages • AutoPkg – automates creation and testing of macOS packages • Configuration Profiles – creating and managing .mobileconfig files • Create and customize Windows Installer (MSI) packages • Create and customize Microsoft Application Virtualization (App‑V) packages

What You Bring

The role requires deep technical expertise in both macOS and Windows application packaging, including a thorough understanding of each operating system’s architecture, security frameworks, and deployment ecosystems. Candidates must be proficient in scripting, automation, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable software delivery across enterprise environments. Success in this position also depends on strong collaboration with IT, development, and security teams, as well as effective documentation and version‑control practices. Excellent communication, time‑management, and adaptability are essential to handle multiple packaging requests and stay current with evolving technologies. • Packages (WhiteBox) – GUI tool for building installer packages • Munki – open‑source tool for managing macOS software installs • Apple Installer command‑line tools (pkgbuild, productbuild) • Deep understanding of macOS file system structure • Familiarity with System Integrity Protection (SIP) and Gatekeeper • Knowledge of macOS security frameworks and code signing • Shell scripting (Bash, Zsh) for pre/post‑install scripts • Python – used with AutoPkg and Munki workflows • AppleScript – automating macOS‑specific tasks • Swift (optional) – advanced macOS automation • Intune / Jamf Pro – enterprise deployment and device management • MDM protocol knowledge for macOS • Proficiency with Console logs, Activity Monitor, and Terminal • Ability to debug installation failures, permission issues, and dependency conflicts • Experience with virtual macOS environments (VMware Fusion, Parallels) • Documentation and version control (Git a plus) • Adaptability to new macOS releases and changing APIs • Strong knowledge of PowerShell, VBScript, and Batch scripting for automation • Experience with packaging tools such as Admin Studio, Wise Package Studio, InstallShield, or Flexera • Familiarity with deployment platforms like SCCM or Intune • Deep understanding of Windows OS architecture, registry, file systems, and user profiles • Clear communication with stakeholders, end‑users, and cross‑functional teams • Effective time management for handling multiple packaging requests • Adaptability to evolving technologies and new tools
