What You Bring
Under minimal supervision, the engineer offers technical expertise to identify, analyze, and resolve problems, plans and monitors work activities, and prepares thorough technical reports, calculations, and sketches. Continuous improvement of engineering knowledge, effective oral and written communication, and the ability to create transmission line drawing packages are essential. Candidates must hold a B.S. in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, possess 1–3 years of electrical power delivery experience, and preferably be an EIT working toward a PE license. Required skills include reading and interpreting technical documents, strong mathematical abilities, reasoning capacity, and basic engineering principles, along with good written and oral communication and the ability to work independently. Desired qualifications include 2+ years of high-voltage transmission line design experience, familiarity with NESC, ASCE, ACI, and IEEE standards, and competency in design tasks such as line, pole, and foundation engineering, cost estimating, and contract documentation. The role may involve moderate physical activity, occasional outdoor work, and exposure to electrical shock risk. United Grid Solutions is an equal‑opportunity, non‑union company focused on innovative infrastructure solutions. • Communicate effectively in oral and written form.
