About the Role

• Work with a team of talented individuals to help tackle a wide variety of projects. • Read and interpret utility records, as‑built and survey drawings and highway design plans. • Designate existing utilities using electromagnetic and geophysical technologies. • Operate and drive a vacuum excavation truck and perform test holes to expose utilities. • Utilize appropriate maintenance of traffic. • Call “One‑Call” tickets. • Coordinate survey work in relation with SUE. • Supervise activities of field crew. • Train junior crew members. • Represent Colliers Engineering & Design in the field and communicate/coordinate with utility companies.

What You Bring

The role demands strong reading comprehension, communication, and computer skills, as well as the ability to work outdoors in varying weather, travel occasionally, and lift equipment up to 80 lb. Candidates must have a clean driving record, prioritize safety, and be willing to work nights or weekends as needed, with mandatory pre‑employment drug screening and ongoing random testing. • Minimum 2 years experience with electromagnetic and geophysical designating technologies. • Experience with vacuum excavation preferred. • Ability to quickly grasp new technologies. • Basic computer skills and aptitude for new software. • High reading comprehension and communication skills. • Enjoy working outdoors in varied weather. • Ability to travel occasionally, work overtime, and walk several miles daily. • Capability to lift heavy equipment up to 80 lb. • Good driving skills with a clean record. • Ability to read, write, and understand English for job communications. • Willingness to undergo pre‑employment drug screen and ongoing random testing.
