About the Role

Each day you will service trucks and equipment that serve over 20 million customers across the United States, using modern tools and procedures to maintain both diesel and, at some locations, CNG fleets. Your work directly supports local communities and advances your technical expertise. • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on various vehicles • Estimate time and material costs for repairs and parts • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs) • Respond to emergency breakdown service calls • Conduct safety checks on all vehicles • Complete paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times • Assist senior mechanics with project work • Review and assign repairs from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports • Maintain a clean, safe work area compliant with OSHA standards

What You Bring

The job involves frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing, and constant standing, walking, and grasping, with occasional sitting and balancing. You will be exposed to typical shop hazards such as cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, as well as dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes, both indoors and outdoors. The role may require travel by air or access to federal property, so candidates must possess a REAL ID or an approved TSA alternative, or be willing to obtain one. • Minimum 2 years relevant mechanical experience • Valid driver’s license with a clean record • Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the U.S. • Ability to meet physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation • Pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical examination • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively • Determined problem‑solver • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing; constant standing, walking, grasping • Exposure to cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, dirt, odors, noise, and extreme weather • Work performed both inside a garage/shop and outdoors in inclement conditions
