About the Role
In this role, the counsel will act as the lead lawyer for equipment, hardware, software, SaaS, and services agreements, providing strategic advice, risk mitigation, and pre‑dispute guidance while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external customers. • Lead negotiations of complex equipment, hardware, software, SaaS, and services agreements. • Provide strategic legal counsel to internal business clients and proactively mitigate risk. • Advise on pre‑dispute matters and develop effective dispute‑resolution strategies. • Create and maintain contracting templates, clause libraries, and deliver legal training. • Ensure business activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. • Collaborate with management, the legal team, and stakeholders on legal risk matters. • Support technology‑enabled legal projects and drive continuous improvement.

What You Bring
Schneider Electric is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel with at least five years of experience in complex commercial contracting. The hybrid role (2‑3 days in the office) can be based in Boston, MA; Dallas, TX; Raleigh, NC; or Franklin, TN, supporting multiple business units across the organization. • Juris Doctor from an accredited U.S. law school and bar admission in at least one state. • Minimum five years of experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements. • Experience providing pre‑dispute advice and engaging with senior executives. • Strong negotiation, communication, and attention‑to‑detail skills. • Ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance. • Demonstrated collaborative, proactive, high‑energy, and can‑do attitude. • Familiarity with technology and willingness to adopt legal tech solutions.

The position offers a compensation range of $142,400 to $213,600 per year, which includes base salary and a short‑term incentive.
