About the Role
This entry‑level position provides internal customer service and a broad range of operational support for local and regional Pike Engineering operations, reporting to a supervisor or manager in a Pike Engineering office. Pike Engineering employees ensure essential services such as electric power, gas, telephone, and wireless communications remain operational, offering opportunities in transmission and distribution, substations, smart metering, renewable energy, telecommunications, and storm‑damage assessment. • Input information accurately from various sources into databases/applications for time/expense entry, work management, invoicing, AP, and expense reconciliations. • Provide general administrative and clerical support, including mailing, scanning, copying, and occasionally serving as receptionist. • Run reports from tools and systems and review data for completeness and correctness. • Arrange employee engagement activities in the office. • Prepare and modify documents such as correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, and emails as directed. • Meet established deadlines and deliver requested information in a timely manner. • Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments; maintain the master calendar and manage employee calendars and availability. • Support company and client‑sponsored events by organizing catering, facilities, restaurants, or other vendors. • Maintain various administrative reports and databases, including fleet, phone lists, storm rosters, occupancy, and PPE assignment. • Monitor and order office supplies cost‑effectively. • Assist with the new employee onboarding process. • Assist with fleet vehicle maintenance appointments, mileage tracking, and outfitting vehicles with required equipment.

What You Bring
Successful candidates must have regular attendance, a high school diploma or GED (an associate degree is preferred), and 0‑1 year of experience in a similar support role. Required skills include proficiency with standard office software and equipment, the ability to work independently, strong communication, a high energy level, professional appearance, and the ability to collaborate with diverse individuals. The role involves occasional standing, walking, and light lifting (up to 25 pounds) and is performed in a moderate‑noise office environment with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts.
