About the Role

The HVAC Technician 1 role exemplifies professionalism through positive communication and appearance while delivering exemplary service to customers. Technicians deliver portable HVAC equipment, operate, repair, and maintain all company equipment, and primarily work in the shop to keep it organized, clean, and safe. They also support other technicians on large jobs and learn to check in, clean, and prepare equipment for rental. Key duties include scheduling deliveries, pickups, and service calls with customers, managers, and sales engineers, installing and training customers on rented HVAC units, and ensuring all paperwork and serial‑number tracking are completed accurately. Technicians troubleshoot equipment functionality, clean and test returned units, install flexible gas hoses for propane and natural‑gas applications, and follow strict safety policies while operating company vehicles. • Coordinate delivery, pickup, and service scheduling with customers, managers, and sales engineers. • Install and train users on rented HVAC units, ensuring safe operation. • Process paperwork, maintain serial‑number records, and update equipment inventories. • Diagnose, clean, test, and ready returned equipment for future rentals. • Safely operate company vehicles and adhere to all safety regulations. • Fit flexible gas hoses for propane and natural‑gas systems following proper procedures. • Provide on‑call emergency support on a rotating schedule, including evenings and weekends.
