About the Role
The field tester role involves monitoring construction sites and performing testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other materials. Responsibilities include transporting samples to the laboratory, communicating findings with project managers and contractors, preparing written and digital reports, and maintaining equipment and work areas. The position requires working in diverse outdoor conditions, standing for long periods, and handling physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb regularly. • Perform field testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt on construction sites. • Observe and document construction materials and site conditions. • Communicate test results to project managers, engineers, clients, and contractors. • Transport material samples and documentation to the laboratory for analysis. • Prepare and submit written and digital test reports. • Maintain and clean testing equipment, vehicles, and work areas. • Work in varied environmental conditions, including extreme weather and noisy sites.

What You Bring
Candidates should have basic math and writing skills, a valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record, and a strong work ethic. Experience with ACI, Troxler, or FDOT certifications is preferred, though training is provided for qualified individuals. Physical ability to climb, balance, kneel, and walk over uneven terrain is essential, as is the willingness to work weekends, overtime, or travel as needed. • Lift/move up to 50 lb regularly and up to 100 lb occasionally; stand and walk for extended periods. • Possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record. • Hold or be willing to obtain ACI, Troxler, or FDOT certifications. • Demonstrate basic math, writing skills, strong work ethic, and team orientation.
