About the Role
The role maintains buildings in a clean and orderly condition, performing heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, hallways, stairs, shampooing rugs, and washing walls and glass. Additional responsibilities may include tending furnaces and boilers, routine maintenance, reporting repair needs, and removing snow or debris from sidewalks. • Monitor building security by locking doors after hours and checking appliance use to prevent hazards. • Gather and empty trash. • Sweep, mop, scrub, or vacuum building floors. • Follow chemical cleaner and equipment procedures to avoid damage. • Mix water with detergents or acids to prepare cleaning solutions per specifications. • Notify managers of major repairs or system additions. • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with appropriate cleaners and tools. • Observe all safety and project rules, wear required protective gear, and perform other duties as needed. • Plan work and select appropriate tools. • Compare size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.
