About the Role

The Territory Executive is responsible for identifying leads, prospecting, and selling new and profitable business within an assigned market, typically outside a metropolitan area. This role sells the full suite of Republic Services products, including small and large containers for municipal solid waste and recycling, as well as electronic and universal recycling. The executive meets regularly with new and existing clients in the assigned market to deliver sales presentations, follow up with key decision makers, and sell total waste stream management solutions as appropriate. The Territory Executive identifies viable leads, manages prospects, and acquires new commercial, industrial, and recycling business to exceed monthly revenue targets. They maintain and retain existing customers by building long‑term relationships and loyalty, following up on leads within two hours and logging tasks in Salesforce. Responsibilities also include performing contractual re‑signs, handling cancellation requests per escalation policy, and supporting pricing initiatives. Daily use of Salesforce to schedule, document activities, and develop robust customer profiles supports new customer acquisition. The executive prepares and delivers sales presentations, conducts cold‑call prospecting, captures customer emails, and works to minimize rate restrictions and credits. Regular meetings with the Sales Manager review retention activities, progress toward goals, and key customer relationships, and additional duties are performed as assigned.

What You Bring

Candidates should possess knowledge of the waste or service industry and strong sales skills to convey product importance. They must be result‑oriented, able to address conflicts proactively, and have strong time‑management and analytical abilities. The role requires the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. The position requires at least five years of relevant sales experience, including two years of direct selling in a customer‑facing role, and a valid driver’s license. Salary ranges from $58,100 to $70,000 plus commissions, with a comprehensive benefits package.
