Tests commercial HVAC systems, repairs defects, ensures quality and production standards.

About the Role
• Perform activities such as: wiring "all areas", brazing and assembly as required. • Operate test units from production lines to verify they meet engineering specifications. • Maintain safe and productive work environment. • Communicate effectively with management and employees to ensure high quality and on time delivery of units. • Coordinate activities with employees and members of other departments to ensure high quality and timely delivery of unit. • Verify units are built correctly to work order and engineering specifications. • Troubleshoot and repair defects in test units to complete run testing. • Locate leaks and repair them with brazing equipment. • Coordinates area activities with other departments. Responsible for completing a higher level of formal training. • Trains new employees. • Check test units for leaks. • Operate recovery and reclaim machine to remove Freon prior to fixing leaks. • Responsible to ensure parts are available and production schedules are met. • Complete job assignments to meet production schedules. • Coordinates the work of co-workers and ensures that their work meets all production standards and schedules. • Charge units with Freon to meet engineering specifications.

What You Bring
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Lift up to 50 lbs. • Must be able to work in fast-paced environment. • Must be able to communicate effectively with management and co-workers to achieve department and company goals. • Requires frequent visits to manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
