About the Role

• Lead strategic growth by driving market share and revenue across the South Central region (AR, LA, MS, OK, TX). • Build client relationships as a trusted advisor to utilities and power developers, aligning HDR capabilities with their goals. • Drive business development by leading major pursuits, crafting winning strategies, and guiding proposal efforts. • Shape market strategy through collaboration with market and operations leadership to execute regional plans. • Mentor and train teams to develop business development skills and foster a client‑focused culture. • Align resources by matching talent and expertise to client needs and growth opportunities, supporting talent attraction.

What You Bring

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences, business, marketing, or a related field. • Bring at least 15 years of progressive power‑market experience with a strong track record in client development and strategic leadership. • Demonstrate proven success in leading major business development efforts and building long‑term client relationships. • Possess deep understanding of the South Central energy market. • Exhibit exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. • Be willing to travel and engage with clients and teams across the region. • Prior experience working within the South Central U.S. power sector. • Familiarity with how professional and construction services are solicited and contracted across the power market (transmission, distribution, generation, renewables, environmental, etc.). • Minimum of 15 years relevant industry experience. • Self‑starter with a history of completing projects with limited oversight. • Deep knowledge of the A/E/C industry’s standard approach to procurement of professional services. • Ability to motivate and inspire others. • Proven ability to build a network of clients and industry partners. • Experience in sales and developing effective win strategies. • Strong financial acumen and negotiation skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Desire and ability to travel and engage with others in‑person. • Experience growing programs in new or highly competitive markets. • Experience winning high‑value contracts in the A/E/C industry. • Skill in writing compelling content based on technical staff information.
