About the Role
As an Assistant Diesel Mechanic you will maintain trucks and equipment that serve millions of customers, using modern tools and procedures on both diesel and CNG fleets, directly supporting the local community. • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on various vehicles. • Estimate time and material costs for repairs and new parts. • Perform repairs within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs). • Respond to emergency breakdown service calls. • Conduct safety checks on all vehicles. • Complete paperwork documenting parts usage and labor time. • Assist senior mechanics with project work. • Review and address repairs identified in Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. • Maintain a clean, safe work area complying with OSHA standards. • Work the 3rd shift (3:30 pm‑12:00 am) Monday‑Friday with occasional Saturdays.

What You Bring
Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record, be at least 18 years old, be legally authorized to work in the United States, pass a pre‑employment drug screen and physical, and be able to meet the role’s physical demands. The job requires frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing, constant standing and walking, and exposure to chemicals, noise, weather extremes, and both indoor garage and outdoor environments.
