About the Role

The role supports production manufacturing by solving problems, improving processes, and resolving manufacturability issues. The incumbent leads cross‑functional teams to analyze and address scrap, customer, and production concerns, working closely with engineering to meet quality milestones. Key duties include implementing ISO 9001 quality systems, identifying plant‑level gaps, and executing improvement activities such as APQP and Part Approval. The individual updates process control documents (pFMEAs, Control Plans, VOPs), applies statistical analysis (Cpk, Ppk), and supports supplier PPAP submissions. The position also manages customer complaints, initiates corrective actions, and drives the plant’s zero‑defect initiative to reduce rework, scrap, and warranty costs. Ongoing responsibilities include maintaining procedures for ISO‑9001 and EQMS compliance and monitoring quality performance metrics.

What You Bring

Technical competencies required include inspection and testing tools, Microsoft Office, data analysis software, and problem‑solving methodologies. Knowledge of ISO 9001, TS‑16949, lean manufacturing tools, and Six Sigma concepts is essential for success in this role. • High School Diploma or GED with at least one year of manufacturing experience. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical Engineering or a related field. • Minimum six months experience working with transformers. • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written). • Skilled in inspection, testing, statistical analysis, and quality tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, and MSA. • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, Minitab, and data manipulation for reporting. • Experienced in problem‑solving methodologies (PDCA, DMAIC, 8D, 5 Why, fishbone, Pareto, control charts). • Knowledge of ISO 9001, TS‑16949, lean manufacturing tools, and Six Sigma concepts. • Ability to write technical documents, procedures, and specifications. • Must reside within a 50‑mile radius of El Paso, TX; no relocation assistance offered (active‑duty military exempt).
