About the Role
• Perform fieldwork with controllers and related components, ensuring compliance with specifications. • Design, program, and document building automation systems using Carrier i‑Vu, BACnet, Tridium, or similar platforms. • Create submittals, read project specifications, MEP drawings, and develop operation & maintenance manuals. • Test and commission HVAC control sequences, conduct functional system checkouts, and produce as‑built documentation. • Collaborate with sales to define equipment needs, project timelines, and submit material orders.

Carrier Commercial Service in Seattle, WA is seeking an experienced Controls Field Engineer. The engineer will lead software design, database creation, and implementation of controls standards for building automation projects, ensuring customer satisfaction, specification compliance, and budget adherence. The role involves close collaboration with sales, creation of submittals and O&M manuals, testing and commissioning HVAC control systems, and documenting as‑built changes. • Required: High School diploma/GED, 1+ year experience with Bluebeam/Carrier i‑Vu/Tridium/BACnet, Microsoft Suite, DDC control theory, and HVAC/Building Automation. • Preferred: BA/BS in Engineering, willingness to obtain an electrical license within 6 months, strong computer networking knowledge, and excellent communication skills.
