About the Role

• Assemble machine modules, electrics, hydraulics, and cabins. • Inspect delivered materials for quality and validity. • Perform module assembly from sub‑assemblies. • Conduct final assembly using order details and parts catalogue. • Use hand and power tools to assemble or repair components. • Interpret technical documents such as schematics and blueprints. • Identify and handle defective items according to procedures. • Follow SOPs, bills of materials, and engineering instructions. • Conduct visual and functional inspections before and after assembly. • Assist with on‑the‑job training and process improvement. • Comply with Sandvik safety policies and applicable regulations. • Identify and report unsafe habits, incidents, or near‑misses. • Perform risk assessments (“Take Five”) before each task. • Maintain hand tools and equipment for safe operation. • Keep work area orderly and meet housekeeping standards. • Attend environmental, health, and safety training. • Entry‑level hands‑on role on world‑class underground drilling equipment. • Build experience with industry‑leading Sandvik equipment alongside skilled trades and engineers.

What You Bring

The role is well suited for entry‑level mechanics or hands‑on, mechanically‑inclined learners who want real experience in heavy‑equipment manufacturing. As a Production Assembler you will support the assembly, installation, and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components used in underground mining equipment. You will work with schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings, using tools to see a machine come together piece by piece. Candidates should have a technical diploma or certification in mechanical trades, 1–2 years of equipment manufacturing experience, and the ability to read schematics, blueprints, and drawings. Knowledge of hand tools, fasteners, and fittings, strong communication skills, and teamwork are required; forklift and crane experience is an asset. • Hold a technical diploma or certification in mechanical trades. • Have 1–2 years of equipment manufacturing experience. • Ability to read and comprehend schematics, blueprints, and drawings. • Knowledge of basic hand tools, fasteners, and fittings. • Work effectively as part of an integrated team. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Forklift and overhead crane experience is an asset. • All tools, PPE, and uniforms provided.
