About the Role

The Maintenance Supervisor at Blue Jay Commons supports residents by delivering quality move‑in readiness, timely service, and personal attention. Reporting to Cushman & Wakefield, the supervisor ensures superior customer service and upholds the company’s standards. Key duties include preparing market‑ready apartments through painting, carpet cleaning, repairs, and housekeeping, and responding promptly to resident service requests. The role requires hands‑on maintenance across plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, electrical, pool, and other systems, as well as maintaining grounds, pools, common areas, and dog parks. The supervisor performs on‑call emergency procedures, reports budget‑impacting issues, schedules and records preventative maintenance, and ensures compliance with housing laws and safety policies. • Prepare market‑ready apartments (painting, carpet cleaning, repairs, housekeeping). • Respond promptly to resident service requests. • Perform maintenance on plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, electrical, pool, and related systems. • Maintain grounds, pools, common areas, and dog parks clean and safe. • Execute on‑call emergency procedures as needed. • Report maintenance issues affecting budget to management. • Schedule and record preventative maintenance activities. • Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal housing laws and safety policies. • Provide superior customer service and represent the company professionally.

What You Bring

The position demands flexibility to work any shift from Sunday to Saturday, safe use of cleaning agents, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations. A valid driver's license, EPA Type II or CPO certification, and at least three years of related experience are required, along with a high school diploma, GED, or trade/technical education. Work is performed in a professional office environment with regular travel between properties, often in varying weather conditions. Physical requirements include climbing stairs, standing or sitting for most of the shift, lifting up to 100 lb, and traveling up to 10 % of the time while operating standard office equipment. • Work any shift Sunday‑Saturday; hold a valid driver’s license and EPA Type II or CPO certification. • Require minimum 3 years related experience and high school diploma or trade certification. • Ability to lift up to 100 lb, travel up to 10 % of time, and operate office equipment.
