About the Role

• Prepare conceptual and detailed designs for overhead and underground electric power distribution systems, including planning, lighting, grounding, and lightning protection. • Coordinate construction packages: plan/profile drawings, structure details, stringing charts, staking tables, bills of material, etc. • Assign tasks, mentor, and provide quality‑control reviews for junior engineers and designers. • Identify and deliver learning opportunities such as job‑shadowing, lunch‑and‑learns, and knowledge‑sharing sessions. • Conduct engineering analyses to develop design options and perform cost‑estimate or specification preparation. • Lead client stakeholder meetings and design reviews, contributing engineering input on project issues. • Develop project man‑hour estimates, task schedules, and manage multiple tasks across projects while respecting budget and timeline. • Perform site visits during design, construction, and as‑built phases, including field reviews and construction observation. • Independently execute electrical clearance, lighting photometric, load, short‑circuit, coordination, and arc‑flash calculations. • Collaborate on technical report writing within the group.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, be a licensed Professional Engineer, and have experience delivering projects in the Power Market sector, along with proficiency in industry design software and a collaborative mindset. • Minimum 4 years of experience in distribution planning, modeling, coordination, and line design for both overhead and underground systems. • Proficient with PLS‑CADD and other design tools such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and analysis software like CYMCAP, ETAP, or Polywater Pull Planner. • Experience with pole‑loading analysis tools (O‑calc, SpidaCalc, Pole Foreman) and knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC). • Demonstrated ability to perform structural analysis, plan/profile preparation, line optimization, and develop construction work plans. • Strong client relationship and communication skills. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. • Proven project execution experience within the Power Market sector. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sector‑specific design software (e.g., PLS‑CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, Revit).
