Manager - Operations Fulfilment Aerospace

About the Role

The role leads supplier diagnostics, drives improvement initiatives, and partners with the Supply Chain Buyer to define terms while investigating escalations using continuous‑improvement tools. Performance is monitored through OTD scorecards and SDR processes, with regular updates provided to senior leadership and key aerospace customers during critical material events; logistics responsibilities include import/export, customs, and cold‑chain handling. Technical collaboration involves engineering change management, BOM and PLM maintenance, and supporting engineering teams with drawing interpretation. • Perform on‑site assessments of supplier supply chains. • Create and track supplier improvement action plans. • Define supply‑chain terms and conditions in collaboration with the buyer. • Lead root‑cause investigations and apply corrective actions using CI tools. • Work closely with suppliers to resolve issues and prevent recurrence. • Upgrade processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. • Deliver regular progress reports to senior leadership and aerospace customers. • Manage On‑Time‑Delivery (OTD) scorecards and monthly Senior Leadership Team updates. • Oversee the Supplier Development Review (SDR) for long‑term contracts. • Coordinate import/export activities, incoterms, customs documentation, and freight forwarding, including cold‑chain logistics. • Implement automation solutions such as RPA and AI for purchase‑order management. • Support engineering change management (ECN/ECO) and maintain BOM/PLM data. • Negotiate RFQs, RFPs, long‑term agreements, offset obligations, and consignment arrangements. • Monitor supplier performance metrics such as OTD, PPM, and cost savings. • Conduct risk assessments, dual‑sourcing strategies, and manage geopolitical supply risks. • Execute Integrated Business Planning, MRP, and ERP (SAP/Oracle) for capacity and lead‑time optimization. • Perform should‑cost analysis, total cost of ownership studies, and drive value‑analysis/engineering projects. • Utilize digital procurement platforms (Ariba, Coupa) and analytics tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis.

What You Bring

Continuous‑Improvement expertise, including Lean Six Sigma and automation via RPA/AI, is applied to streamline procurement and fulfillment processes. Candidates must have an engineering or supply‑chain degree, 14‑15 years of aerospace supplier development experience, deep knowledge of AS9100, FAA/EASA/ITAR regulations, and strong competencies in contract negotiation, operational planning, cost engineering, digital tools, and leadership. • Apply Lean Six Sigma methods (VSM, Kaizen, 5S) and maintain Green/Black Belt certification. • Demonstrate strategic thinking, negotiation, stakeholder management, and crisis handling abilities.
