About the Role
The Subject Matter Expert – AR Collection role focuses on advanced accounts receivable functions, emphasizing reporting, analytics, and collaboration across teams. The SME supports credit control and cash application for highly complex customers, handling queries across multiple legal entities and business sectors. Responsibilities include monitoring customer payments, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices while maintaining accurate financial records. The position also involves high‑level interaction with internal stakeholders to facilitate financial integrity. • Guide and mentor junior team members to foster a collaborative, high‑performing environment. • Collaborate with the Team Lead on collections strategy, manage overdue accounts, and recover balances through dunning letters and email notifications. • Process incoming payments and resolve complex invoice discrepancies within defined SLA. • Generate aging reports, provide insights to stakeholders, and conduct variance analysis on receivables and DSO metrics. • Assist period‑end close by reconciling the AR subledger with the general ledger and addressing exceptions. • Maintain knowledge of compliance and accounting policies, including IFRS 9. • Apply strong problem‑solving abilities using logical, data‑driven approaches and sound judgment on escalated issues.

What You Bring
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field; AAT Level 2+ preferred. • Possess 6–8 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable or similar finance roles with demonstrated leadership. • Demonstrate proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, ServiceNow, BlackLine, Business Warehouse, and related reporting tools. • Utilize advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, charts, and BW for data analysis and reporting. • Exhibit high accountability for delivering accurate, timely work, ensuring quality, compliance, and proactive risk escalation.
