About the Role
The Services Operation Officer – Quality & Certification supports Aftermarket Operations in Derby, focusing on quality assurance and certification for Trent 1000 quick‑turn maintenance events. The role is fast‑paced, working closely with the EOS certification team and other network partners, and is involved in every gate of the MRO process to deliver certified engines and modules. It also handles root‑cause analysis of issues identified within the value stream. You will verify that all engines and modules released from the DAT programme network meet Part 145 regulations and are ready for service. Responsibilities include over‑checking certification documentation, configuring modules, resolving customer queries, and maintaining both in‑service and archived engine life records. You will also ensure compliance with EASA Part 145, AS9110 and ISO 9001 standards and report, resolve or escalate open issues against operational deadlines. • Ensure engines and modules released from DAT programme comply with Part 145 regulations. • Over‑check certification documentation and configure modules before release to service. • Resolve customer queries regarding certification records. • Maintain in‑service engine life records and archived documentation. • Guarantee compliance with EASA Part 145, AS9110 and ISO 9001 standards. • Report, resolve and escalate open issues to meet operational deadlines. • Perform root‑cause analysis of value‑stream issues.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate has prior experience in the aviation or aerospace manufacturing sector and a solid understanding of Part 145 requirements. Familiarity with quality tools, product structures, and aerospace engine or module configuration control systems is desirable, as is competence with MS Office, SAP and other digital tools. You should be detail‑oriented, able to work with minimal supervision, and possess a collaborative mindset to drive cross‑functional plans. • Previous experience in aviation or aerospace manufacturing (preferred). • Understanding of Part 145 requirements (desirable). • Knowledge of quality tools and product structures. • Familiarity with aerospace engine/module build or configuration control (desirable). • Proficiency in MS Office, SAP and other digital tools. • Ability to work with minimal supervision and support operational/customer commitments. • Strong attention to detail and collaborative mindset.
