About the Role

The Senior Geotechnical Engineer role supports HDR’s mission to drive positive change by leading geotechnical investigations, delivering technical analyses, and collaborating with designers and clients across transportation and other sectors. This position also contributes to marketing initiatives and can serve as a technical specialist or project manager on large‑scale projects. • Plan and prepare geotechnical investigations or design activities that significantly impact major company programs. • Participate in marketing efforts for internal and external clients. • Organize, conduct, and coordinate geotechnical investigations for transportation and other projects. • Perform technical analyses, prepare geotechnical reports, and collaborate with designers to implement recommendations. • Serve as Technical Specialist or Project Manager on large projects as needed. • Supervise professionals, technicians, and design teams.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree. • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience. • Professional Engineer (PE) license. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, GIS, and CADD. • Experience with GeoStudio/Ensoft for slope stability, settlement, seepage, and deep foundation analysis. • Experience with Bentley geotechnical data management tools (gINT, OpenGround, LeapFrog). • Knowledge of advanced numerical modeling techniques (Finite Difference, Finite Element, Discrete Element) and related software (Bentley, PLAXIS, Itasca FLAC).
