About the Role

The position involves performing third‑party inspections across multiple disciplines, preparing daily time and inspection reports in accordance with ECS policy, and applying extensive knowledge of building code regulations. It also includes managing code‑compliance projects—reviewing plans, providing technical support, conducting inspections, monitoring performance and budgets, preparing proposals, attending site meetings, and resolving technical or administrative issues. Mentoring other inspectors and assisting with profit‑and‑loss management, client interaction, and business development are also expected. • Conduct third‑party inspections of building, electrical, mechanical, architectural, structural, plumbing, and fire‑safety systems. • Prepare and submit daily time sheets and inspection/field reports according to ECS policy. • Manage code‑compliance projects: review plans, provide technical support, conduct inspections, monitor performance and budgets, prepare proposals, attend site meetings, and resolve technical/administrative issues. • Mentor and train junior building inspectors. • Assist with profit‑and‑loss management, client relationship development, and marketing of code‑inspection services.

ECS is seeking a Code Compliance Project Manager to join the Southwest Facilities team in Austin, TX. The role leads inspection and plan review projects while ensuring alignment with state and local building codes. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, along with strong project‑management capabilities. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least five years of code‑compliance inspection or plan‑review experience, and a valid ICC certification (B2, M2, P2, E2, Fire Inspector I/II); IECC certification is preferred. A valid driver’s license is required for driving on behalf of ECS. • Apply extensive knowledge of state and local building code regulations, policies, and procedures. • High School Diploma or GED. • Minimum 5 years of code‑compliance inspection or plan‑review experience for building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire‑protection systems. • Valid ICC certification (B2, M2, P2, E2, Fire Inspector I or II); IECC certification preferred. • Valid driver’s license for ECS‑related driving.
